I start every year by doing my version of a Dry January. I cut processed sugar, alcohol, and caffeine out of my diet. I want people to stop being afraid to tell the truth about their struggles, and to know that the journey to wellness is unique to each struggle, each person, each life. Some people need therapy, some need medication, some people diet, some meditate, etc... and some people need a mix of all forms of treatment and support.
I get a lot of questions about mental illnesses... treatments, management, triggers, etc. What I know is what I've learned from experience. I don't have a degree, I'm not a teacher, but what I can say with 100% certainty is that every person - and every illness - is different.
